On September 1, 2014, the City of Plano will return to weekly landscape watering for residential and commercial water customers through October 31, 2014. Odd addresses may water on Tuesdays and even addresses on Thursdays. Watering is still prohibited between 10am and 6pm.
Starting November 1st and continuing through March 31st, the City of Plano Drought and Emergency Response Plan provides for Stage 3 restrictions on the Winter Watering Schedule: watering with sprinklers is limited to once every other week with no time of day restrictions.
Water hydrant flushing will continue to maintain the quality of Plano’s water. The City joins other North Texas Municipal Water District member cities and customers in an “All in Together” approach to conserving water and maintaining water quality. While water quality remains the top priority, water conservation and the wise use of water is still critical to maintain our current available supplies until the drought eases. www.plano.gov/water
