Fall 2014 – Water Restrictions Back to Weekly

On September 1, 2014, the City of Plano will return to weekly landscape watering for residential and commercial water customers through October 31, 2014. Odd addresses may water on Tuesdays and even addresses on Thursdays. Watering is still prohibited between 10am and 6pm. Starting November 1st and continuing through March 31st, the City of Plano Drought and Emergency Response Plan provides for Stage 3 restrictions on the Winter Watering Schedule:  watering with sprinklers is limited to once every other week with no time of day restrictions. Every-Other-Week Watering Extended

Stage 3 restrictions of once every other week watering with sprinklers will continue through April 30, 2014. Watering with sprinklers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be prohibited beginning April 1, 2014. The City of Plano is requiring all residential and business customers to implement these outdoor water restrictions in hopes of reducing water use by at least 10 percent and increasing awareness of ongoing water conservation efforts. Winter Stage 3 Watering Restrictions In Effect

The City of Plano has implemented Winter Stage 3 Water Restrictions beginning November 1, 2013. The water restrictions include: Landscape watering with sprinklers is permitted once every other week, if needed. Watering from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is allowed. Foundations, landscaping, including grass, shrubs and trees may be watered for up to two hours any day by a hand-held hose or soaker hose. NO hydroseeding, hydro-mulching or sprigging. Twice Weekly Watering In Effect

Beginning June 1, Plano residents can operate sprinklers twice weekly as we step back to Stage 2 water conservation measures. The Stage 2 watering schedule allows odd addresses to water on Tuesday and Friday; while even addresses water on Monday and Thursday. Even with the loosening of the schedule, watering is still not allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. During the weeks we have rain, please turn off your sprinkler system.
