April 1 – October 31, 2017 Beginning April 1, Plano residents and businesses are asked to only water a maximum of twice per week. Only water when needed. Winter 2016-17 – Winter Watering Guidelines

November 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017 Beginning November 1, Plano residents and businesses are asked to only water a maximum of once per week. View the Winter Watering Guidelines. If watering is needed, set your sprinklers to run when the temperature is warmer, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., to avoid icing of streets and sidewalks. Turn off automatic sprinklers now that cooler weather has arrived. Most grasses go dormant until spring, which reduces your lawn’s need for water. May 1, 2015 – Twice a Week Watering Begins

Water restrictions are being adjusted in light of recent rains and increases in lake levels. Conservation is still needed. Beginning May 1, customers may water up to two times per week, if watering is needed. Watering with sprinklers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is still prohibited. Spring 2015 – Water Restrictions Every Other Week

Every Other Week Watering Extended Until Further Notice:  Due to low lake levels, the City of Plano has extended once every other week watering until further notice.  Restrictions will continue to be evaluated as reservoir levels and water needs change.  Effective April 1, watering with sprinklers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is prohibited. Fall 2014 – Water Restrictions Back to Weekly

On September 1, 2014, the City of Plano will return to weekly landscape watering for residential and commercial water customers through October 31, 2014. Odd addresses may water on Tuesdays and even addresses on Thursdays. Watering is still prohibited between 10am and 6pm. Starting November 1st and continuing through March 31st, the City of Plano Drought and Emergency Response Plan provides for Stage 3 restrictions on the Winter Watering Schedule:  watering with sprinklers is limited to once every other week with no time of day restrictions.
