Fall Fest 2016

Great time had by all!

Picnic in the Park 2016

May 2016’s Picnic in the Park was one for the record books!  We ran out of our 150 purchased hot dogs with 15 minutes to spare in the party! At one point, there was a count of over 120 people in the park. The band, “Midlife Crisis,” entertained the crowd from juvenile to venerable. Snowie’s provided delicious snow cones for all. We couldn’t be more excited about all the neighborly love in PCN, and we hope to keep it coming.

Picnic in the Park 2015

“Picnic in the Park” was great this year! The weather cooperated, the rock band was good – lots of children enjoying the playground, people with dogs, frisbee throwing and games, and of course the food and snow cone trucks were available for those who didn’t feel like bringing their own food. Thanks to our board members, especially Denise Gooding, Activities Chair, for all the hard work and effort that went into making this a success for the community. A very nice time for those who came!!

National Night Out 2014

On October 7th, Pitman Creek North participated again in the Texas’ National Night Out by hosting a neighborhood get-together at Hackberry Park for all our residents. National Night Out is an annual event hosted by the National Association of Town Watch with the primary purpose being to get neighbors to leave their front porch lights on, showing their support for their local police departments in the fight against crime. Neighbors are encouraged to get out of their houses and meet other neighbors in the area and get to know them.

Both Plano Police and Fire Department provided staff to meet neighbors.  Plano Police Crime Prevention officers attended, speaking with the residents and answering questions. We were able to meet one of the newest officers assigned to our specific area.  Have specific officers assigned to PCN allows them to become much more familiar with the area, the residents, and any problem situations that arise. Again, the Plano Police spokesman encouraged the Pitman Creek North neighborhood to be proactive in watching out for our neighborhood. Plano Fire Department, Truck E1, also visited and answered questions.

Thanks for all of those who came out, enjoyed the great weather, met and visited with neighbors, and enjoyed picnics as well as great eats from the two food trucks.  Unfortunately, we are no longer able to have free root beer floats at this event due to City Health Department requirements.

Thanks to one and all for sharing your evening with your fellow Pitman Creek North neighbors! As we gather as neighbors and friends, we create a closer knit community…one who watches out and cares for one another. Thanks to our community police who came out to meet and educate us as well as all those residents in the neighborhood who worked to make this annual event a success. And a BIG thank also goes out to Denise Gooding, PCNHA Activities Chairperson, and those who helped to make this event such a yearly success!

Invitation to PCNHA Annual General Meeting – May 6, 2014

I would like to cordially invite all Pitman Creek North residents to come out to the Pitman Creek North Homeowners Association Annual General Meeting which will be held on May 6th, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Highland Oaks Church of Christ (next to Hackberry Park). This past year (2013-2014) was a very productive fiscal year for your homeowners’ association – we broke a membership record!  Your voluntary dues payments made it all possible and I thank you.  The Membership committee has a special “something” to show to our residents and vote on as a reward to all members of PCNHA.  … Continue reading
